FAQs

  • A Hooky Day is a day that you put yourself at the top of the to-do list and focus on your well-being.

  • Not at all. Actually this year, we’re not even celebrating on the 18th. We’re asking that you take a day between now and December 23rd and repurpose it for yourself. Even if you can’t do a work day or a full day, any time that you carve out time for yourself is a great start.

  • Nope. You just need to commit to taking a day in the next three months.

  • This is not an initiative to get people fired. Take this day off just like you would any other time. Make sure that you will not be missing any crucial meetings or milestones just like you would for vacation. Use your PTO, Wellness Day, flexible holiday or whatever benefit you have that makes sense then follow your company’s process to make it official. .

  • The tips in the Hooky Day Guide are helpful even if your Hooky Day is actually a Hooky Hour.

If you have limited benefits focusing on your priorities can create time you can carve out for yourself . As much as you can, use your weekends to rest vs. catching up on work or other tasks.
